The Warehouse Community Garden
Welcome to our Community Garden. We know there are many different ways a community garden can function. Our hope is that you will find this garden a refreshing place that you can relax in, garden, and/or take advantage of some great produce when it’s harvest time!
The Warehouse Community Garden had it’s grand opening on Memorial Day of 2023, with a great turnout. We got to meet so many new friends and learn a little bit about their stories and passions. Like us at The Warehouse, many of you aren’t gardeners, but came out just to hang out and share some food, fun, laughs, cries, and dreams with each other. We love the direction that this garden is going, the connections we have already made, and how it is the first tangible representation of the vision and heart of The Warehouse.
Below you can check out some pictures of the garden and some details on how it works. We hope you will enjoy what The Warehouse Community Garden brings to our community and your family, which is our growing family.

What is the vision and heart?
Unlike most community gardens, there is no fee for using the garden. Also unique to our garden is that the harvest is not for the one who plants and tends to the plots, but rather it is meant to bless the community.
Everything we are about at The Warehouse is helping connect you and your gits, talents, and passions to our community. So often we have gifts and dreams that we never get to share with others. Our dream is that your gift of gardening will be shared to bless our community.
– A grand Opening Day Testimony –
We got to meet Renita, who totally gets the vision of the garden – maybe even more than we did! She wants to use a 4’x6′ plot (6 of the 2’x2′ plots) to bring a salsa garden to you. When it’s time to harvest, she wants to bring all her equipment to The Warehouse and teach you how to make salsa…and of course send as many of you as possible home with some of your own!
How does it work?
If you like to garden, please reach out through the “I’d like to plant in the garden” button above. There is limited space in the garden so please don’t wait if you’d like to be a part of bringing your gift of gardening to our community.
This is considered “square foot gardening” and is currently split up into (20) 4’x4′ plots and (16) 2’x2′ plots, plus a few extra barrels and possible spots for additional above ground planters. We are working with several master gardeners who are helping us assign plants based on “companion planting” and other considerations. We also ask that the garden be kept organic in an effort to respect garden-sharing and to provide the best possible produce to our community.
When it’s time for harvest, we will let the community know on our website and social media that we will be having a harvest day and what produce will be available to come get from the gardeners. This will also be a great opportunity to get to know each other and hopefully share your dreams and vision for what you could bring to our community or what else we can bring to you!
Reach out today to get your assigned plot(s). Please just let us know what you would like to plant and we will assign you space if available. Each plot will have a sign to say what is growing there and who has provided it (gardeners may remain anonymous if desired).
